What to Expect

06:00 AM meet our guide at your hotel lobby and head towards Kanchanaburi. We will reach the Erawan waterfall at around 09:00 AM. Navigate the waterfall and swim at leisure, or hike up to the top levels of the waterfall to witness the beauty of each level.

Over and out to the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum and Walking Trail, learn about the story of the POWs and what they had to endure being forced to build the Thai-Burma Railway. This cutting on the Death Railway cost the lives of more than 16,000 Allied prisoners and countless Asian laborers during World War II.

Visit the notorious Death Railway built along the cliff with beautiful scenery of the River Kwai. Take on the challenge of a thrilling walk railway and explore the small cave with Buddha statue inside, Kra Sae Cave or Tham Kra Sae, This cave was formerly a camp for the POWs during the construction of the railway.

Set out to the famous Bridge over the River Kwai, spend a short time walking along the ironclad bridge that bears a long history of bloodshed and conflict from the time of World War II.

We had a very interesting and informative day with our guide mr snake and his very good and safe driver. He arrived on time and planned and organised the day very well. He was friendly, pleasant and informative with interesting facts and local knowledge and was happy to accommodate our vegetarian meal request. He was also considerate of my wife's back problems throughout the day and seeked assistance were possible to reduce the amount of walking she had to do. He also provided free water, drinks, cold wipes and snacks throughout the day. It was a very long day but worth the effort. If there was any slight criticism it is the very ambitious number of stops and limited time at each stop. That suited us as we would rather see more areas and have less time than other similar tours but it is a consideration for anyone considering booking this tour. Thanks again for a wonderful day.
